When I met Kirsten and Cedrick back in November, I had no idea how fond of them I would become. I knew they were gorgeous, obviously. I knew their engagement photos happened to be on a perfect fall day. I remember laughing and being blown away by how sweet their proposal story was. But I did not know how genuinely wonderful and in love they are, or that we’d end up friends.
Kirsten and Ced elected not to have a first look, but did want to exchange gifts before the ceremony. The plan was to meet at Up on the Roof, where they could stand back to back and talk without seeing each other. As we were getting ready to head up there, I got a text from my second shooter that Ced had changed his mind and wanted to do the first look, but wanted it to be a surprise! Y’all, I am bad at keeping secrets. It’s lucky for all of us that I didn’t have to keep it for long. When Cedrick turned around and saw his wife for the first time, it was one of the most beautiful moments I’ve had the privilege of capturing.
The rest of the day was beautiful and so full of joy. Kirsten and Ced are surrounded by the most loving and supportive friends and family. The night was filled with laughter, happy tears, and some incredible dancing. It was truly a night to remember, and I’m so happy I was there to capture it.
