Today I’m continuing my series on my favorite photography locations! If you missed part one, you can see my favorite downtown locations here. Upstate South Carolina has so many gorgeous locations and there are parks everywhere! Whether you’re looking for beautiful flowers, lush greenery, or interesting landmarks, South Carolina definitely has a park for you! Check back next week for my favorite mountain locations!

The Sue Simpson Garden is a tiny park in downtown Greenville that no one has ever heard of! That makes it perfect for a mini session! And if you catch it at just the right time, there are beautiful yellow trees showing off in the fall. It’s also heavily shaded, meaning the sun won’t be too harsh if a golden hour session doesn’t work for your family.

I just visited Hatcher Gardens for the first time this spring and it immediately became one of my favorite photography locations! With lucious greenery and a little creek running through, this park is an absolute gem!

Greer City Park has a little bit of everything! There is a beautiful tree lined walkway that leads to an enormous fountain in the center of the park. It also features a large pond, a wooded area, and tons of sidewalks to run around. There are also wide open green spaces, making it ideal for large extended family sessions.

Cancer Survivors Park is a relatively new park in downtown Greenville. The Swamp Rabbit Trail runs through the park, connecting Cleveland Park to Falls Park. You’ve probably seen the big bridge pavilion feature. If you continue down into the park, there are some beautiful trees and a rocky bank to the Reedy River.

The botanical gardens in Clemson are a beautiful place to walk around and full of amazing photography locations! I’ve only explored a small part, so there are tons of amazing possibilities.

The Columbia Riverwalk winds through Columbia and has a little bit of everything! Whether you’re looking for unruly woods, wide river views, or big ole briges, the riverwalk has you covered.

The gardens around the Lace House are stunning! And they’re open to the public! There is so much beautiful greenery reminiscient of Charleston or Florida. It’s a beautiful little corner of Columbia with many nooks and crannies to explore. Photos coming soon 😀

Glendale Shoals is just outside of Spartanburg and is another super versaitle location! The shoals themselves are beautiful. There’s a garden area with greenery and a brick pavilion. The big red bridge is another beautiful feature.
